Kingsbury County Highway Department is responsible for the repairs and maintenance of 112 miles of asphalt roads, 86 miles of blotter roads, and 152 miles of gravel roads, for a total of 350 miles. The highway superintendent appointed by the Board of Commissioners administers this service under their direction.

Project Updates:
Work on the approach slabs for the bridge east of De Smet is scheduled to begin in April of 2025. Traffic will be controlled by signals on either side of the bridge as the lanes are reduced to one.
